Learn all about Structured Analytic Techniques in this practical, hands-on workshop taught by a seasoned intelligence professional. This session will introduce you to some of the fundamental skills that intelligence analysts need to work in the field.

Spots are extremely limited; apply as soon as possible.  Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.  This opportunity is available to students from Rutgers, Borough of Manhattan Community College, City College of New York and New Jersey City University.

 

About the Presenter: Angie Gad is a senior counterterrorism analyst at Flashpoint, focusing on far-right extremists and jihadists, and an adjunct professor at Rutgers. She earned her M.A in International Relations with a focus on Middle East and Intelligence studies from New York University. Angie previously worked as a senior intelligence analyst for the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness. During her time as an analyst, she was the state subject-matter expert on the Islamic State and domestic extremist groups and worked on active terrorism investigations alongside the FBI. She has published over 40 intelligence products and delivered more than 70 high-level intelligence briefings to senior government officials. She also worked as a counterterrorism consultant with tech companies like Google. She is a native Arabic speaker and resided and studied in Egypt for over six years, during which she witnessed and participated in the 2011 Egyptian revolution.
